I'm hoping this will help me (and maybe you) to understand, grow, learn, feel, reflect, wonder. Life is an amazing experience, maybe this is my way of holding on to (or maybe letting go of?) things that make up my experience and my life. Enjoy :)

I woke up this morning a minute before my alarm and when I went to turn it off I had a text from Yadira on my phone that said "Good morning! I hope you have a wonderful day! :-)". On Monday Faiza texted me "I love you. I really do. You are so lovely I can't even comprehend that I am given the honor of being friends with you."
It would be useless to ask myself what I did to deserve such deeply and radiantly beautiful people in my life because it is not a matter of merit. I would rather leave the contemplation of 'why' to more awakened and philosophical individuals because I am more than happy to simply give thanks and marvel at the gifts I have received in my life than reduce them to my limited analysis.

"I can barely wait for the day I can step off the airplane, close my eyes and feel that same first gust of wind wrap me in its warm, familiar embrace."
As much as I can try to describe all the thoughts, memories, emotions, and dreams I have about Tanzania words will never be enough. It transcends words.

There are certainly times in all of our lives that we feel as though the whole world might as well be resting on our shoulders, a weight nearly unbearable. And as I walked out of the bookstore, the $325 of books I just bought wasn't much help. But it's all good. Today I was reminded of how insignificant and fleeting my worries truly are.
You can never really know a person. How could you when we hardly know ourselves?
