Happy Day :)

Today was a good day. Partly due to the fact that it has been infinitely less stressful than I'd anticipated, which is always a nice and welcome surprise.

We're still watching a movie in APEL, but it's so interesting and eye-opening. I'm learning a lot, and I'm thinking about some things in a different way, it's so great to hear different perspectives on the issue of class and racism. And what I'm realizing is -- all the people are correct in the way they define class, because ultimately it's an individual perception and state of being.

I understood the math lesson. Course, I haven't tried the homework yet... :P
Photo was chill, I didn't get much of anything productive done, and I'm okay with that. I talked with some friends and heard some pretty crazy stories about Mafia people that apparently live by me and pulled a gun on this girl...yeah, I don't think I'll be telling my parents that one. But then again, it makes for a good story.

Spanish was alright, I have a feeling my partner would've rather have someone else, but he was nice anyway, and I'm not as intimidated cause he speaks English, unlike my last several partners.

My chem teacher postponed our lab, test corrections, and upcoming test AND worked out problems from the homework that I had trouble with!

And APUSH is, well, APUSH. Have a class with a TA? Do they click the power point? Do they mess it up sometimes? Cut 'em some slack! Please :)

Track practice was fun too. Coach told me and Cassie to "go find a ladder and hang the net", so we asked him where to find the ladder and he said he didn't know, but "figure it out". We brought him two, and had a third as a backup. I don't know why I feel so accomplished or amused by that, but I do. I like that he has the confidence in me to tell me to do something with little instruction and know I'll do it right, and I like that I've earned that confidence, even if it's just to go get a ladder.

I think I'm gonna go for a run.

Peace :)

Oh, and the weather is PERFECT, it's starting to feel like summer

I love these blog posts when you just have a really, really good day of. . . *gasp* school! I think we should go grab lunch or dinner over the next two weeks. I miss you because I realize we've both been, well you know, the ridiculously busy people we are. We should really try and make time. You're one of my favorite people to talk to.

Love,
Cara
